ABOUT THE JOURNAL
The Pakistan Academy of International Relations (PAIR) publishes the Journal of Advance Communication and Kinetic Potential (JACKPOT) as a peer-reviewed, biannual international journal dedicated exclusively to the evolving hard-power dimensions of military capability, technological competition, and contemporary warfare.Â
Â
JACKPOT provides a multidisciplinary scholarly platform for original research, critical analysis, and informed debate on the convergence of advanced technologies and military power, encompassing Artificial Intelligence (AI), cyber capabilities, space and counter-space operations, satellite technologies, electronic warfare, information warfare, strategic communications, autonomous and unmanned systems, robotics, precision and long-range strike capabilities, hypersonic technologies, missile and air defence, multi-domain operations, network-centric warfare, electromagnetic spectrum operations, command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR), emerging defence technologies, and other evolving dimensions of kinetic and non-kinetic warfare.Â
Â
The Journal examines how technological innovation is transforming military capabilities, operational concepts, strategic competition, deterrence, escalation, battlefield dynamics, and the future character of warfare. JACKPOT is international in scope and is not confined to any particular country, region, or strategic perspective; it welcomes scholarly contributions from academics, researchers, military and defence professionals, technology experts, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world.Â
Â
Through rigorous double-blind peer review, the Journal seeks to promote original, theoretically informed, empirically grounded, and policy-relevant research that advances understanding of the relationship between technology, communication, military power, and kinetic potential in the contemporary and future battlespace.
